Big events. This spectacular venue is set in a small town 45 minutes from Seville. In the same area there is another particularly interesting location: an old bullring. The interior space of the fortress amounts to around 6,000 square feet, although there is little firm ground so we advise that guests wishing to organise events in this space hold the dinner in the bullring where the tables will be easier to set out.
This fortress dates back to the 13th Century, and was built as a bulwark against attacks from across the border. This part of Andalusia has a particularly rich history, and has been the site of a vast array of important decisions in our ancient – and more recent – history.
This fort is ideal for the post-dinner phase of an event. In terms of decor we could contrast the medieval walls with contemporary lounge furniture, all illuminated by glowing helium balloons. Music could fill the space and become livelier as the night progressed. Alternatively, for a daytime event this venue lends itself well to team-building activities, as we have all the necessary ingredients in the surrounding area – a small town in the Sierra de Andalucía, the townspeople themselves, along with an array of specific venues and landmarks: the old bullring, churches and abandoned train stations, as well a rich historical legacy with which we could play in order to construct the script.
